“For the first half of my skating career I worked and worked and worked but fell short at the top, like coming second by 0.02 points. Seeing something that’s attainable for myself, given to someone else. I always appreciated the benefits that came with skating but I wish it came earlier in my career. I did a lot in skating but I wish I did it faster. Now I look back I want to make sure I get the most out of everything I do in life. Time is the only thing that matters, because life has an expiry date and at the end of the day it’s about meeting what I want before that date comes.” – Tim Lum, former international Canadian Ice Dancing medalist, current residing in BCIT School of Business.
