“I come from a skiing family, I grew up skiing in Banff, Alberta but I’ve lived in British Columbia for about 5 or 6 years now. My dad was on the Canadian ski team and my grandfather was a ski guide so it’s kind of in my blood and in my heritage so it was bound to happen but I didn’t start skiing till I was 12, which is kind of rare for a pro skier. Usually skier’s are kind of on their skis by age 3 or 2 even but yeah, I didn’t start skiing till I was 12 and I went straight into racing. I raced internationally all around the world for 5 years and then I really wanted to try freeskiing and entered a few contests with that and ended up having a ton of fun and getting sponsored, the rest is kind of history.” – Tatum Monod, Canadian Pro Freeskier.
