“I never really had a mentor or a role model in figure skating just because I’ve never seen myself in someone else, I’ve never been able to achieve that so I just take different stuff from different people. There’s a top skater right now named Guillaume Cizeron who’s skating just beautiful so I try and take some elements of his but I don’t want to steal someone’s style, I want to create my own. Then I see Scott and I’ll take some stuff from him but then I’ll realize that’s not really my style either so still figuring that out.
