“My parent’s been my biggest inspiration. Growing up playing hockey, never being the best player on the team, from being that big chubby guy from North Burnaby all through high school. Everyone says there’s no chance you can make it, and they were always there by my corner, helping me get to where I needed to get to. Same goes with my brother and sister. My brother, we played together in the minors. I think once you play professionally, the hardest part is going from the minors to making that jump to the NHL, it’s even harder to stick in the NHL. Having him by my side for that 1 year in the minors was definitely huge for both of us. Something you’ll cherish forever.” – Mike Santorelli, Retired NHL Player. (2/11)
