“What sticks out to me when I was young in my career playing for Florida, you’re constantly going out to please the coach, please the management in order to stay in the NHL or make it. I found when I played my best, I did me. I played my style, I did what made me happy and if the coaches is happy with that, great. If not? Then it’s his loss. At the end of the day, the 1 thing that’s tough in playing in the NHL is you’re easily replaceable. If you don’t do you then that coach isn’t going to hesitate to get rid of you. That’s something I experienced in Florida and it was hard to come back from that. I was fortunate enough to come through that stronger.” – Mike Santorelli, Retired NHL Player. (10/11)
