“I go through ups and downs, my anxiety I had it under control. I did a lot of therapy throughout high school, years of it. I’ve had 4 or 5 therapists and that just taught me how to correct my thinking and be very mindful of things. Because I’m very pessimistic, now I try to be more optimistic because I’m trying to counter balance. I’m this very negative mindset. I think very negatively of myself and I always have. Going through therapy, that taught me to rewire my thinking, see the good and try to fix it. I definitely have good and bad days still, I will expect that for the rest of my life. I’m doing much better. My big point here, why I’m here, why I want to share my story, why I wrote my blog is to let people know it 100% gets better. Therapy helped me, but there’s a lot of other resources with therapy, working out 100%. There has been studies that show it’s just as effective as an anti depressant or anti anxiety medication. Reaching out to people.” – Michelle Huntley, Mental Health Advocate and Former Gymnast. (8/8)
