“My dad’s like my best friend. My mom was kind of involved with our sports, she’d come and watch and stuff. It was more of my dad’s thing, it’s kind of how we bonded. My parents are divorced and we always lived with my dad so that’s our thing. It was closer to high school, closer to towncenter and stuff. He’s always been there for sports. And our mom is really good emotionally, like emotional support. I’d say my dad is a really big role model in field hockey. My sister as a person is my biggest inspiration. I think anyone who’s been through a serious injury or a traumatic event in the world of sports or outside, and anyone who’s going through that and still with us and didn’t let that define them or affect them, that’s definitely the biggest inspiration.
