“My dad was my coach and we saw an ad looking for coaches in the area and he was like, you know what, let’s play field hockey, do something other than soccer.’ And kind of cross training for soccer. Soccer was my main thing. So my sister and I signed up and our dad was our coach and we never looked back. So he coached us up until we were 18 from 5 years old. I love the team sport aspect of it. I’ve done individual sports like swimming and stuff, but I kind of liked how you can share your passion with other people on the field rather than your own success.
