So, I have never been a fit person kind of type, I started doing CrossFit like 5 or 6 years ago and it’s a weird story.
Since I had like 15 years old I’ve been in and out of physical activity, dancing, yoga, gymnastics, etc. But nothing for real, at 18 I started to date this guy (to with I’m still going out) but because our school and work times we didn´t see each other that much at the time, plus I was losing weight like crazy due anxiety and depression, so I really needed a distraction and a way to see this person more often, so he started to doing CrossFit near his place, he kept inviting me, and I continuously kept refusing because I have never ever been a fit person so I was not feeling doing sports you know, plus I have like zero coordination.
Anyways long story short, I decided to join him at the CrossFit, I started to see changes on my appearance really quick, I did gain weight, I started with 43kg (like 94 lbs.) and I could go up to 52kg (114 lbs.) then like 3 years later, I had an injury on my knees, both of them, I don´t blame CrossFit I blame myself for not doing the things right and do weightlifting without the proper preparation, I had to stop like 6 months or something, I did lose weight again, currently I’m on the 48kg (105 lbs.) range, but that’s not what impact me the most, I think the mayor thing I learn or I can recall being happy about is all the amazing people you get to know, the connection I had with my boyfriend, the brotherhood and the family I found.
Actually I don’t do CrossFit to win competitions, or to be muscular, I do it as a distraction of my day to day, I do it to hang out with my friends, I do it to be healthy, to have a nice ass (true story).
I still have pain on my knees time to time, mostly when is raining or cold, I know I have oldies problems at my 20’s, but it is what it is, I don´t push myself anymore to the limits I just give the best I can every day.
CrossFit had helped me on my darkest times, made me feel comfortable about my body again, I’ve had to meet amazing people, and I hope my story can help somebody out, I’m not professional, I do not compete, I’m not muscular, I just enjoy a flat belly, a small but nice ass and eat a lot without regrets, so please if you just want to do exercise just do it, don’t have to be CrossFit or gym, it could be whatever activity your like, you don´t have to be the best at the gym or at your group or whatever, you have to be the best to you. Be healthy, be happy, be confidence, be you.
I’m the third from left to right on the first row, the one with green short, that’s my Crossfit family by the way!
I’m the one who is flexing !
I’m the one with glasses right in the middle of the pic, we we’re staff at a competition my CrossFit did like 2 weeks ago.
Last but not least, I’m the first from left to right, we were hiking, those girls are like my bestfriends and I met them at the CrossFit where I train.
