“A big motivation for me is to always improve, doing something every day to better myself. So it may be personally, athletically, business wise. I try to do something every single day that will either better my life today or in the future. Something that’s been really motivating me is the growth of my social media, so I started my social media seriously in this past October with not a lot of followers, not really a lot of content, just kind of posting the odd picture here and there of how my training was going. Over the past 4 months or so, my social media has grown tremendously to the point where I post every single day and seeing the amount of followers and seeing those amount of views grow 20% per day motivates me to pursue that even further. It motivates me to keep getting better of what I’m doing, if I just stayed static and keep posting the same content, people will have seen that 100 times, there are 1000s of other people doing the same exact thing. So for me I think I have a little bit of a niche especially with weightlifting and working with the adaptive sports, so sharing that it’s really interesting combination. There’s not a lot of people who have all different avenues that I’m working on right now.” – Joey Balzer, Olympic Weightlifter. (6/6)
