“It’s very different, it’s pretty hard, it was hard at the beginning because I had to change my routines and I was still training and very fit, I thought I was going to race this summer so all of the sudden I had to slow down my training and be careful so it’s tough. I found that was really hard, also you don’t have control of your body, as you know as an Olympian that’s what you do for your life so it was pretty hard but it’s a really exciting challenge and I look forward to it obviously, it’s 1 more month. I try to keep active as much as I can and I keep saying I miss my paddle and my running shoes but once the baby comes it will be all worth it.” – Emilie Fournel, Olympic Kayaker, Pan Am Games Gold Medalist.
